The above definition captures Diane Leigh the Realtor. Real estate is a great match for me, for I get to blend my love of the area and my innate people skills with the administrative skills I honed during my 35 years at the University of Washington, my alma mater. Windermere is a great match for me because I value family and community, and Windermere has never lost sight of the fact that it is a family business with a commitment to community. One of those commitments is to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, and I am proud to have been a Big Sister since the summer of 2000. My Little Sister, Amina, graduated from high school this June, but we will forever be friends.
I love people, have always spent hours driving around to look at properties, enjoy the "treasure hunt" aspect of it all, tenaciously follow through on whatever needs to be done, and have great organization and management skills! I've had personal experience as both a buyer and a seller, which makes me able to understand my clients' needs and perspectives. I have earned the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation, having successfully completed formal training in the art of negotiation. Only 1% of all agents nationally have this designation. I have also earned designations as Certified Distressed Properties Expert (CDPE) and Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource. I have closed multiple short sales in the area - representing buyers and sellers, and I look forward to utilizing my skills to help sellers avoid foreclosure.
I Bring.... the perspective of having grown up building a cabin with my family in the Chelan area and appreciating everything the region has to offer. We worked together to split huge granite rocks and carefully place each piece to form the foundation of the cabin that three generations now enjoy. This special place is the very heart and soul of our family. We enjoy hiking and kayaking in the summer, and skiing in the winter. A certified ski instructor, I enjoy Chelan’s proximity to two of the Northwest’s premier downhill ski areas, as well as its cross country and snowmobiling trails.
