Calendar of Events for the Chelan area
November 7: First Friday: Community Giving- Come to downtown Chelan with a donation to drop off. And check out all of the quilts on display at the various shops. Pick up a ballot and vote for your favorite!
November 7-16: "Guys and Dolls" - The ever-popular Chelan Valley Players present Guys and Dolls. You won't believe the amazing local talent, the spectacular stage sets, and the incredible costumes! Friday and Saturday evening performances; Sunday matinees. Chelan High School's Performing Arts Center.
November 11: - Veterans Day Parade - The Chelan VFW Post 6853 sponsors the annual Veterans Day Parade which begins at 11 am in downtown Chelan. Come honor all those who have served or are currently serving our country.
November 15: Ski Swap - Echo Valley Ski & Tubing Area is sponsoring this popular ski swap, held at Morgan Owens Elementary School in Chelan. Hot deals on winter sports items and clothing. 10 am - 1 pm
November 27: Community Thanksgiving Dinner - "Free" thanksgiving dinner at the Apple Cup Cafe. Bring canned goods or cash donations for the Lake Chelan Food Bank. 11 am - 2 pm
November 28: Christmas Activities & Holiday Lighting - Come downtown to enjoy all of the holiday festivities. Santa will make a surprise entrance at the Ruby Theatre at 2 pm. The Holiday Lighting Ceremony starts at 5:45 pm. Be sure to stick around for the spectacular fireworks display starting at 6:15 pm.
November 28: Hot Friday! Day After Thanksgiving Sale - Better get up real early for this popular annual event put on by downtown Chelan businesses. Sizzling deals that get snatched up quickly by Santa's helpers. Don't miss out!
November 28: Manson Holiday Fest - Watch the Village on the Bay come to light in downtown Manson. Stop by Allison's of Manson for a visit with Santa.
December 1-10: 11th Annual Holiday Lighting Contest - Nominate a home or business (including your own!) in the Lake Chelan area to participate in this festive event. Winners receive cash prizes!
December 5: First Friday - Rockin' Jungle Bell Open House - Enjoy cookies, cocoa and caroling with Santa in downtown Chelan. 6-9
December 6: Artists' Holiday Open House - Come join the fun and fill your stockings with original works of art! Enjoy coffee, tea and cookies while you browse arts and crafts created by a collection of local artists. December 6: CVIS Auction: Night of a Thousand Stars - Support the Lake Chelan Independent School while enjoying a wonderful evening of silent and interactive auctions, hors d'ouevres, desserts, live entertainment and dancing. Campbell's Resort.
December 6-7: Christmas Bazaar - Bring your shopping bags and appetite to this event at the Chelan Senior Center. Homemade jams, clothing, baked goods, quilted items, and more! Enjoy a lunch of homemade soup, dessert & beverage. Chelan Senior Center.
December 31: New Year's Eve Night Skiing - Take an active role in welcoming in 2009 at Echo Valley Ski Area. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled night of skiing, culminated by a torchlight parade! 6-9 pm
December 31: New Year's Eve Bash at Campbell's Resort - Dance and sing the night away to the music of the Salmon Dave Band.
